October 2020 Board of Directors Meeting

Lion Line

Indian Creek Country Club, Wednesday Evening, Oct 14, 2020 -- Loren Heckathorne

The Nevada Lions Club held its regular Board of Directors meeting, Oct 14, 2020, in the Indian Creek Country Club dining room. President Jarboe called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm and acted as Chairperson, with the following members present:

John Beals Loren Heckathorne Jim Fenn
Charlene Jarboe Jerry Radke Susan Radke
Mike Seaboch

Skip Halloween event (downtown trick or treat) this year. This was the group consensus.

Old Business.
Email Beaston and Miller. Do they still want to be Lions? Please pay dues -- each owe $84. They will each owe $42 more in January. If they don't pay we still have to pay international, state and district dues for them. This is an economic burden on our club. Thank them for their help. Hold off on email until Jim personally speaks to them. Jerry and John made the original motion which was amended by Jim and Susan.

New Business.
There was much discussion on Breakfast with Santa. Breakfast with Santa 7 to 11 -- in reality 7 to 10:30. Who should buy ingredients and how much. Juice box or plastic juice containers? Syrup and butter. Take-out containers and pre-packaged plastic wear, which includes salt and pepper, and napkin. Charlene will buy supplies. We will get some things from Sam's Club. Pancake mix from Fareway. We had 348 last year, but we might not have as many this year.

We need 3 boxes of sausage. Is Burke donating this year? We will do a free-will offering. Show up 1 hour early. We are doing scrambled eggs as usual. Jim and John will meet with Parks and Rec (Ronda Maier) to look things over and figure out how we are going to do the take-out.

Other Business. There were no bills presented tonight.

There was a request to send the Minutes to all members.

We received a check for $100 from Orrick, MO Lions Club for Derecho relief. The secretary should send them a thank-you card.

Jerry moved to adjourn, 2nd by many and we adjourned at 8:11.

Loren Heckathorne, Secretary
