Ray Reynolds was the program. The regular Board of Directors meeting was convened after the program. The Nevada Lions Club held its regular Board of Directors meeting, Aug 27, 2014, in the Windsor Manor dining room. President Bob Hunter called the meeting to order at 8:16 pm and acted as Chairman, with the following members present:

Secretary Loren Heckathorne read Minutes from the Aug 13 & 27 Board Meetings. Motion was made by Jerry Radke, Second by John Beals to approve the Minutes as read. Motion passed
Treasurer John Beals presented the Financial Report. Motion made by Jerry Radke and Second by Loren Heckathorne to approve the financial report. Motion passed.
There were no bills of account.
President Hunter reported that we should soon receive a Paper Recycling check for $530 and that the total amount of paper sent is 978,000 pounds.
Eyeglasses report. Willy Morfitt didn't have anything to report.
Jerry Radke reported that the Mid Winter conference will feature the International President. It will be held in Des Moines. The first 300 to register on the web site will receive a pin.
Charlene reported that she has a new plan to promote membership and will discuss it next meeting.
The Pancake Feed will be Saturday Nov 8 at Gates Hall.
President Hunter reported on our upcoming September 24 sex-trafficking program. Featured speakers are Ruth Buckles and her daughter Britney. He will contact the Sheriff's office, Ministerial Association and the School Administration to see if they have any interest in attending this program. This program will start at 7:00 p.m.
There were several other announcements: Charlene has the program for October 8. The Nevada Chamber of Commerce has their annual celebration on October 6. Doris Andresen and Barb Cockshoot should be added to the widows list.
Motion to adjourn by Susan Radke and we adjourned at 8:29.
After we adjourned, President Hunter requested that Paul Malsom bring a microphone for the September 24 program.
