Windsor Manor, Wednesday Evening, February 13, 2019 - Loren Heckathorne
Two events were announced during the regular meeting. The first was a mix and mingle, Feb 16 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Rolling Green Village. The second was Work as Worship seminar at Central Presbyterian Church from 7:30 to 3:00 on Feb 22.
The Nevada Lions Club held its regular Board of Directors meeting, Feb 13, 2019, in the Windsor Manor dining room. President Susan Radke called the meeting to order at 8:13 pm and acted as Chairperson, with the following members present:
John Beals Bob Hunter Loren Heckathorne Carlene Hunter Charlene Jarboe Paul Malsom Willy Morfitt Susan Radke Jerry Radke Secretary Heckathorne read the Minutes from the previous Board meeting. John made a motion to approve the Minutes, Second by Charlene. Motion passed.
John Beals presented the Treasurer's report. Jerry made a motion to accept the Treasurer's report, Second by Carlene. Motion passed.
Bills of account: $60.98 for cart and $78 for meals. No motion was needed for these.
For old business, John reported a pancake advertising bill from the Journal of $66.50. John Also noted that he is waiting for payments for leftovers -- but these leftovers have been billed.
For new business, Greg Neal's 7 month old baby needs a heart transplant. There is a fund raiser Feb 23, at the Legion. They need desserts for the fund raiser.
We did the Lions contributions tonight: $100 Leader Dog, $50 LCIF, $100 diabetes awareness, $100 puppy program, and $350 Iowa Lions Foundation. These are paid from project funds. Charlene moved to pay the Lions contributions, Second by Jerry. Motion passed.
We might be asked to leave Windsor Manor, so we discussed were we might go. We could move to the Senior Citizen's Center, which charges $15/hour. Gatherings was suggested as well as a meeting place at the hospital. The library also has a room. The question is which locations have a piano available?
The last discussion was about the Edward Jones Scholarship account and whether we can sell stock.
John moved for Adjournment, Second by Charlene and we adjourned at 8:40 pm.
