Windsor Manor, Wednesday Evening, March 13, 2019 - Loren Heckathorne
The Nevada Lions Club held its regular Board of Directors meeting, Mar 13, 2019, in the Windsor Manor dining room. President Susan Radke called the meeting to order at 8:04 pm and acted as Chairperson, with the following members present:

Secretary Heckathorne read the Minutes from the previous Board meeting. Sandy Richardson made a motion to approve the Minutes, Second by Jerry Radke. Motion passed.
John Beals presented the Treasurer's report. Jerry Radke made a motion to accept the Treasurer's report, Second by Charlene Jarboe. Motion passed.
Bills of account: Meals for February of $169. No motion is needed for this.
For old business, we had a discussion of our scholarship funds, which are a stock fund held by Edward Jones. Steve Jordening explained the nature of the funds and the reasons they came about. A number of Lions members want more income from the funds and less stock value increase. John and Steve are the Finance Committee and Susan asked Bob Hunter to join them. The three of them will look into options and opportunities for the scholarship funds.
New business. Susan asked us all to look for community needs, where we could spend some of our project fund. Steve made a motion to sponsor a baseball team for $300, Second by Willy. Motion passed.
The District convention is Mar 29 and 30. The 29th is in Story City and the 30th is in Randall. Maybe Charlene is going?
Jerry Radke and Jim Fenn will do nominations, but Jim isn't here now. Jim will be back in April some time. We need to set a date for our Pancake breakfast. It should be the last week in April - which is, Saturday, April 27. The hours are to be determined. Susan will call Gates Hall.
If we need to move our meetings, the library is out, since they don't do long term commitments. We might stay at Windsor for some time.
Our business being completed, Susan adjourned the meeting at 8:57.
