March 9, 2022 Meeting

Lion Line

The Nevada Lions Club met at Indian Creek Country Club on Mar. 9, 2022, with the following persons in attendance:

Jim Fenn Bob Hunter Loren Heckathorne
Carlene Hunter Charlie Lloyd Jerry Radke
Susan Radke

We had some discussions before starting the Board Meeting:

For June, July and August, we will have only 1 meeting per month, which will be on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.

Pancake Breakfast -- Charlene is in charge and she isn't here tonight. She got a better deal at Gates Hall, because we give out scholarships. The big room is free. We still pay for the kitchen. Date set is still Saturday, April 9.

Odyssey of Mind was mentioned as a possible fundraiser. Many questions need to be answered. Susan will check on this.

The Board meeting started at about 7:20. John made a motion to approve the Secretary's report; Second by Jim. Motion passed.

Treasurer Beals presented the financial report. Jerry moved to accept the Treasurer's report; Second by Susan. Motion passed.

John mentioned that Kidsight retakes were cancelled because he couldn't get a camera. He normally uses the camera from the state office. Now both cameras are held by the Ames Evening Lions club and they won't let us use a camera. Charlie will contact Bill Shutters about this issue.

Paul and Charlene should do nominations, since they are the last two past Presidents.

Jerry made a motion to give Parks and Recs $200 this year, which is their Silver level; 2nd by Jim. Motion passed.

John motioned to adjourn and Seconded by many. We adjourned at 7:40.

Loren Heckathorne, Secretary
