Volume 4, Issue 3 Lions Club Newsletter Spring 2004

President's Message

My Friends in Lions,

The birds are singing, the grass is turning green, the lady and box elder bugs are still here from last year and it's time for another Nevada Lions Club newsletter!

The Nevada Lions fundraising slowed a little during January, February and March, however we have been successful in our on-going giant coloring book sales. We also had our annual Pancake Day on March 21. Vice Presidents Jean Bodensteiner, Dwight Bonham, and John Wheelock ran a top notch fundraiser which raised money for diabetes awareness! Many thanks to all who helped make this a success serving over 300 people!

We are still looking for a quality project to invest Margaret Maliet funds earmarked for our club from her estate. Nevada Parks and Rec may have some good ideas for projects coming up this summer. If any of our friends in Lion-land have any ideas, please contact one of our Lion members.

In case you haven't heard, Lion Jean Bodensteiner was elected Vice District Governor at our District 9 X 7 convention in Fort Dodge in February. Nice going, Jean!

It looks like Lion Duane Stansbury and Lion Dwight Bonham are on the mend from their episodes with sickness. Get well, fellas, we need you at Lions!

Thanks to all our Lions members! Without you working hard in Lions club, we could not do all the wonderful things we do for our community and our special projects. God Bless each and every one of you!!

Lion Paul Malsom, Nevada Lions President
