Lion Trustee Craig Arendt was Susan Radke's program for the evening. He
spoke about the Iowa Lions Foundation and the seven entities they support in

Lion Carlene Hunter's program was Adam Heintz who spoke about the USS
Houston (The Galloping Ghost of the Jave Coast). Adam's great grandfather
served on that ship prior to and during WWII in the Pacific. Here Carlene is

Lion Jerry Radke's program was Connie Nielsen who showed a Power Point
entitled, "Connecting YOUR environment to food safe gardening. Here Jerry is

Lion Willy Morfitt's program was Kelly Sheets from the Story County Fair
board. Kelly talked about the fair needs and what they were doing to raise

Steve Jordening's program was Laura Lillard, Assistant Vice President at
the State Bank & Trust Co. in Nevada. She gave a program on Internet Banking.

Bob Barnhill from Barney's Gun Shop in Collins IA gave a program on guns
showing several pistols and two rifles that he refurbished. Here President

Lion Jim George gave a program on Story County since his speaker could not
make it. He showed a map with upcoming projects and handed out a bar graph
showing the Age of Story County Bridges (see above). February 27, 2019.

Charlie Lloyd gave a talk on his experiences as a pilot in the military,
Nation Guard, and for Northwest and Delta Airlines. Here President Susan Radke

Willy Morfitt was a Lions Eye Tissue transporter for several years and
recently was awarded a pin for one million miles driven by Iowa Lions

Breakfast with Santa was held at Gates Hall on December 8, 2018. The
Nevada Lions Club hosted a Pancake Breakfast serving "all you can eat" pancakes,
sausage, scrambled eggs, and beverages. This is the kitchen crew.

Lion President Susan Radke presented $500 checks to the 2018 Scholarship
winners: Mackenzie Garrett - Ray McDaniel Lions Scholarship and Dan Kellen - Dr.
Leonard Maliet Memorial Lions Scholarship. They will receive the second $500
in January 2019.

Dan Johnson, Vice President at the State Bank & Trust was Lion Mike Seaboch's
program for the evening. Dan spoke about his history and about banking in
general. Dan accepted a Lions Mug from Mike as a token of our appreciation
